Why is everybody pissed off?

It seems the release of Google Adsense Secrets 4.0 has caused quite a stir recently.

At issue is the free trial offer to the 1% report bonus that is given at the time of purchase. Some folks did not realize that after the trial session was over they were to be automatically billed for $29.95

This is called forced continuity and is widely done in marketing. You may have done it yourself with Columbia House or BMG music. Remember them? They gave you something like 12 cds for a penny and then you had had to purchase several full price cds over a certain time frame.

What has people upset is the feeling that it was not properly expressed that they would be charged after the trial period. It’s still a buyer beware society and the fine print should be read. To his credit Joel Comm has changed the sales page and makes it more prominent now.

It is a shame because the initial product ( Google Adsense Secrets 4.0 ) is a great product. And at $9.95 it is a tremendous value.
